Vibration
The impacts from vibration are wide-ranging, affecting both human health and the built environment. Almost everything you can think of, from the buildings we live and work in, to the computers and servers that keep our data infrastructure running, are susceptible to vibration damage from numerous sources. Consider as well, the hospital equipment vital to our ongoing health, the sensitive equipment in research laboratories, or simply any area where humans live and work; vibration can affect them all.
Whilst, typically, the built environment can tolerate comparatively large amounts of vibration, our technology can be very sensitive to this movement and humans are possibly the most effected of all. Indeed, humans can perceive vibrations as small as 0.14mm/s making human annoyance a top priority in vibration control.
Vibration monitoring is an effective method of measuring the impact of vibrations from an outside source. It can also be used to monitor vibrations at source to ensure that, any vibrating machinery, continues to operate as expected; we call this condition monitoring.
Using top-of-the-range monitoring equipment, Moniteye’s vibration units are rugged enough to withstand the riggors of any environment whilst delivering unbeatable data capture. Our internal battery life of up to four months means that our system can be deployed with confidence, even when mains power is unavailable.
Suited to every situation, from demolition to blasting, our unit features built-in digital signal processing, which processes all incoming data in real-time, with signals sampled at 4,096Hz to present a wide dynamic range.
Along with our wide dynamic range, Moniteye’s measurement frequency range is between 1Hz – 500Hz with the geophones calibrated to a sensitivity of +/-2%. The maximum vibration our units can measure is a massive 250mm/s.
Protected to an IP67 level, our triaxial monitors are powered by an internal Lithium-Ion battery that can easily be ‘hot-swapped’ ensuring that your monitoring remains continuous.
